As of 2026-06-11, the New Mexico Higher Education Department has convened a Workforce Pell Advisory Group and says the state is taking early steps toward implementation. No approving agency has been formally designated and no eligible-program list published; under federal law the Governor approves programs after consulting the state workforce board.
